Of soul mates and duty

Oh, Mark Sanford. Why do you want to be the poster boy for every middle-aged man (and woman) who falls in love with someone other than your spouse and makes it much more difficult than it needs to be? Why do you want that? Why don't you want to be the guy who seeks truth? Why don't you want to be the guy who, once he's actually caught doing something he didn't want to tell, actually fesses up and does the dignified thing? Why wouldn't you want that? I don't get it. He has an affair for a year, finally gets caught, humiliates his family by publicly disclosing all of the details and love letters, then calls the other woman his "soul mate", then leaves the soul mate to "try" and fall in love (what? are you nuts?) with his spouse again. Who does this guy think he his, Casanova? Breaking women's' hearts all over the world? It must feel awfully good to have these women miserable over you, huh Mark? I'll tell you what. If I were your wife, I'd have a good laugh over this. I'd laugh long and hard as I was cashing that first alimony check, not because you cheated, not because you lied, not because you humiliated me, not because you're a sappy asshole who writes gushy love emails to adult women, but because you're a prick and you're a hypocrite and you're clueless. Anyone who has been a judge of other humans who fall in love and choose to live the truth, rather than lie and cheat...anyone who calls that sin, but turns around and does the same thing, is a hypocrite and a clueless prick. Get a hold of your own goddamned humanity, Mark. Stop the rhetoric for just a moment and look at what's in front of you!! You've already made the choice! You want something else and you had it! Oh wait.....you only want it (her) if it's forbidden and you can't really have it!? Oh. That's disappointing. You only want another woman if no one else knows about it? Ew. You're so immature. You only feel good about yourself if you're denying your heart/soul/sexuality what it's demanding and do the dutiful thing and settle for your wife? You're a retard. What woman would want that? Aaaaaanywho....I think it's gross that people want to recycle everything, but don't want to give up plastic bags at the store. Come on, people. Get with the program. It's just bags! No one's asking you to stop shopping. God knows you're not about to give up buying half the store. You wouldn't just be able to buy what you can carry in the bag you bring, or in your backpack. No. No one's asking you to. But do you really need to take home all of your eco-friendly products in a plastic bag? You're dumb. OK.
